The name of this wine derives from the typical conformation of the grapes, where the beans are spaced apart. In this way, the berries develop faster, thus allowing the sugars to concentrate faster. That's why Acini Spargoli can be considered a classic of the Salento wine scene: important structure, high alcohol content, typical aromas of the Primitivo grape.

Antico Palmento

Vineyards and cellars in Manduria Antico Palmento is a family-run company located in the center of Manduria. It was born from the passion of Bruno Garofano who, after forty years of collaboration and wine consulting for several Apulian wineries, decides to make his experience available to his children and starts a wine-growing activity in the heart of one of the most suitable areas of Puglia. Bruno's dream, always supported and encouraged by his wife Lina, came true in 1998 with the acquisition of a few hectares of vineyards and a "millstone" dating back to the early years of the last century. The entire production chain takes place in the structure returned to business through careful conservative restructuring. Some underground tanks have been vitrified and returned to wine-making; others, communicated with each other, are reserved for the refinement and packaging of wine. Finally, a space is dedicated to hospitality with the organization of cultural events, courses for wine-lovers and tasting of wines and typical products. The production philosophy both in the vineyard and in the cellar is always the same: no shortcuts, very few targeted interventions. The intent is to produce wines in limited quantities that are interpreters of the best expression of the territory. We focus strongly on the natives. Attention is focused on the main grape of this area: the Primitivo. Only two wines produced: "Acini Spargoli" and "La dolce Vite". The art of making wine is to accompany a natural process in its becoming, remaining faithful to old traditions but always aimed at applying innovative techniques. Thus essential and authentic wines can be born, stripped of the superfluous and capable of seducing and going straight to the heart. Fresh and persistent in its taste-olfactory notes, it invites you to sip it throughout the meal in all seasons of the year.
