Beni di Batasiolo

Beni di Batasiolo is the story of the Dogliani family, which for almost fifty years has lived the world of wine in the Langhe: the territories that have made Piedmontese wines famous throughout the world. In this alternation of oblique light and veiled fog, the Dogliani family has gone through the changes in the recent history of these places, which in half a century has brought more transformations than in previous centuries. In 1978 the Dogliani bought the historic Kiola winery with its seven “assets”, in the finest wine-making territories of Nebbiolo da Barolo. A context where traditionally what is meant by “good” takes on a real, exquisitely earthy value: the vineyard, the farmhouse, the people who live there and a suggestive landscape made of soft hills and orderly rows. This is what Langa wine has always told the world. The grapes thrive in nine precious plots which, thanks to the particular exposure, the elevation of the hilly coasts, the type of soil, spontaneously create the optimal premise that leads to noble and elegant wines. Among these, Cerequio, Bussia, Brunate, Briccolina, Boscareto are the Barolo crus of excellence and highest prestige. In harmony with the territory, we strive every day to allow nature to best express its essence, giving ample space to the vines and pursuing that final quality that is always more important than quantity. Today Beni di Batasiolo is a large family in which new professionals converge guided by consolidated passion. A teeming with tradition and modernity in the continuous search for the best synergy with nature: the best technological innovations for analysis and monitoring allow us to intervene only if necessary and to take care of every aspect that contributes to creating wines of excellent quality. Here the grapes of all the harvests arrive and the meticulous journey that brings them to new life begins. To then arrive in the silence of the barrel room, where the wines are entrusted to time just enough to realize their purest essence.
