Barbaresco Albesani 2015 - Cantina del Pino

Color: Intense and consistent garnet red

Smell: intense hints of small red fruits, pepper and spices.

Taste: Imported structure and richness on the palate. The round and ripe tannins determine a rich and pleasant drink from a 
young age.

Vineyards: This cuvée originates from the vinification of a 0.8ha vineyard located in the heart of the MGA Albesani.
Production Area: Municipality of Neive.
Vineyard exposure: South.
Soil: Limestone limestone with sand veins 
Altitude: 250m a.s.l.
Vinification: Complete destemming. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature.
Maceration of about 40 days. Malolactic fermentation completed in steel.

Cantina del Pino

The Cantina del Pino is located in Barbaresco on the top of the hill overlooking the Ovello vineyard and for about a century it has belonged to the Vacca family. Family members have been dedicated to viticulture for several generations. In 1997 Renato Vacca decided together with his father Adriano to leave the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative and start making wine on his own. The symbol of the estate is the maritime pine that dominates the Ovello hill, planted at the end of the 19th century by Domizio Cavazza, "father" of Barbaresco and previous owner of the estate. The cellar was in fact purchased by Renato's great-grandfather when the Cavazza family moved to Turin in the 1920s.
