Vines Sangiovese ( %)

Color: Vivid ruby red.
Smell: The nose expresses hints of red flowers and red fruits and strawberries.
Taste: On the palate it shows great finesse thanks to a tannic texture still young but of excellent quality. Long, elegant and persistent, it closes with a finish of excellent persistence.
Food pairing: For the whole meal, it goes well with Tuscan cold cuts, pasta with sauce, grilled red meats.

Vintage 2018: It was marked by a winter with cold temperatures which led to a budding delay of about a week compared to the average of the previous years.
Spring was characterized by abundant rainfall especially in May and flowering took place in the last week of this month.
Summer, initially cool, continued with higher temperatures in June and July without ever reaching excessive peaks.
The strong temperature variations between day and night before the harvest favored a slow and constant ripening of the grapes.
Vineyard age: About 45 years.
Harvest: Manual harvest on 23 September 2018.
Vinification: Manual selection of the bunches before destemming and selection of the berries with optical selector. Spontaneous fermentation follows without the use of added yeasts and maceration assisted by punching down and pumping over. All this takes place in truncated conical oak vats at controlled temperature for 18 days.
Aging: In oak barrels for 13 months.
