Château Respide Medeville

The origin of the Médeville family, in the heart of Sauternes, dates back to the marriage of Numa, the great-grandfather of Christian Médeville, Julie's father. Today she is the soul of the small Château and together with her husband Xavier, oenologist, she continues the tradition by consolidating the history and savoir faire of the cellar. The company owns about 14 hectares in the Graves area, in 11 of are planted black grape varieties, while in the 3 restants, white grapes. The wines of Château Respide-Medeville, with the Gonet-Médeville brand, respond to full respect for ancient traditions, reaching literally sensational quality levels. Also owned by the Gonet-Médeville families, the Bordeaux Supérieur Cru Monplasir is located in Margaux. This extends over 9 hectares of gravelly nature near the Gironde all destined for the production of incredibly fruity and invited wines. In the vineyard, the soils are mainly composed of gravel and clay, and the plants are raised with total respect for the environment and ecosystem. In the cellar, the vinification is conventional and the refinement, both for white and red wines, is carried out in French oak barrels.
