Smell: The nose is intense and fine with elegant fruity notes of pineapple and peach, citrus and mineral notes, of almonds and honey.
Taste: In the mouth it is well structured, balanced and velvety, soft but with excellent freshness; persistent with a delicate toasted finish.

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in new barriques at 20% with indigenous yeasts.

Domaine François Mikulski

The history of François Mikulski's family is nothing short of fascinating: his father, Mieczyslaw, who fled from occupied Poland in 1939, goes to England where he joins the Polish Resistance troops present there. Here he meets a young woman, originally from Burgundy. Shortly thereafter, the two got married and after the birth of their son François, they moved to Brussels. After spending several summers in Burgundy and falling in love with that land, François Mikulski inherited his first parcel of land in 1992 from a distant uncle, Pierre Boillot, in Meursault. After about twenty years, François Mikulski with his wife Marie-Pierre have implemented the vineyards of their domaine bringing it to reach 12 hectares of surface, of which 10 hectares of property and 2 for rent. The white wines of Mikulski differ from the wines produced in the Meursault area for their marked acidity and freshness: the search for this peculiarity pushes François Mikulski to work in the countryside, with the aim of achieving the right definition of the relationship between sugars and acid in the harvest period. The same philosophy is also adopted for its Pinot Noir, which are in fact fresh and juicy.
