Gilbert Leseurre

Gilbert Leseurre is based in Arrentières, near Bar-sur-Aube in the historic area of the Côte des Bar. Classified as a récultant manipulant, the Gilbert and Nathalie family owns 7 hectares of vineyards in the Aube planted with Pinot noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, near a very small village with 162 inhabitants. Their fame is not very high because they dealt almost exclusively with exports, but the quality of the whole range goes well beyond expectations. The production is only 30,000 bottles. Gilbert is in his fourth generation and it was he who decided, in 1979, to start producing his own Champagne under his own name.
