Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva Saltner 2017 - Kaltern

Color: Intense ruby red.
Smell: The nose is elegant and intense with notes of cherry, raspberry and blackberry.
Taste: On the palate it is full-bodied, rich in cherry aromas, with round tannins, balanced and with good persistence.
Food pairing: Perfect for red meat dishes, game, first courses with meat sauces and aged cheeses.

Age of vines: 6-15 years.
Yield/hectare: 50 hl.
Breeding system: Guyot.
Production area: Vineyards with exposures from southeast, northeast and west between 400 and 550 m above sea level. Well ventilated with cold nights during the ripening period of the grapes. Medium-textured calcareous mineral soil.
Vinification: Ripe and selected grapes perfectly healthy, fermentation in oak vats with maceration for two weeks at 25 °C, malolactic fermentation.
Aging: Maturation for 12 months in barrique and tonneaux, light filtration before bottling.
