Sancerre AOC Blanc Château de Fontaine-Audon 2016 - Chateau-Langlois

Color: Straw yellow with golden green reflections.
Smell: The nose is elegant and fine with a fruity peach note, exotic fruit such as lychee, a very gentle floral and herbaceous note.
Taste: On the palate it is a fresco, balanced and meticulously aromatic, with a pleasant and long persistence.
Food pairing: Perfect for fish and shellfish dishes, sushi, smoked salmon and medium-aged cheeses.

Production area: Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois.
Soil: Flint.
Yield: 50-55 hl/ha.
Harvest: Manual and mechanical in the morning.
Vinification: Pneumatic pressing with selection. Maceration in small thermoregulated stainless steel vats with pumping. Maturation on lees. Bottling in spring.

Langlois-Chateau

Founded in 1912 in St-Hilaire-St-Florent, in the Loire valley, by Édouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne Chateau, the Langlois-Chateau maison is one of the most important companies that Crémant produces. The company is still owned by the descendants of the Langlois family, who joined the company in 1973 with the Bollinger family. Continuously looking for quality improvements, the maison is particularly active in viticultural research, and favors natural cultivation methods aimed at maximum respect for the environment. Even in the cellar, the Langlois-Chateau company has always and regularly invested in high quality materials, which allow it to better respect the nature of the grapes and to enhance their varietal character. Although not among the largest maisons in terms of size, Langlois-Chateau is well present in the international market and increasingly oriented towards exports, which currently represent around a third of production.
