Color: The color is golden yellow with gently amber reflections.
Smell: The very bright and delicate effervescence emerges and releases a fine bouquet that initially shows notes of citrus fruits associated with the mineral and warmer ones almost smoked. Then there are nuances of aging given by the vinification in oak barrels that recall the slightly toasted almond
Taste: Dry, elegant, round, characterized by mineral freshness and vertical structure. Of excellent persistence

The 2012 vintage is among the most difficult and delicate ever seen in Champagne. Great things often arise from difficulties ... so the low yields, the result of the climatic adversities related to the continental conditions at the end of the season, have allowed us to reach a rare and historic level of maturation, giving life to rich, full-bodied and structured wines, worthy of the greatest vintages of Champagne. This 2012 vintage shows the minerality of Pinot Noir from the very northern origin of Verzy and Verzenay. In 2012, the strength of the domaine is tamed by the generous sun and transcended by an aging in oak barrels of great precision. "A true sensation of classicism and comfort made dynamic by acidity, without excess, halfway through the mouth to give a impression of lightness superior to the power of wine. ”Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon.
To achieve perfect ripeness, the Vintage 2012 cuvée is aged in the bottle for 4 years, then benefiting from a rest of 6 months after disgorgement. The dosage is 9 g /
Louis Roederer
The cuvées of the Maison Louis Roederer are born from the patient comparison with the elements, from a meeting of talents, from a science of balance, from a resistant and generous grape, which has its roots in the land of Champagne. That gives birth to a wine with a solar soul, with crystalline elegance. Of a purely northern character, the wine-growing property is the mother earth from which they draw their strength. From the first 100 hectares acquired in 1850 to the approximately 240 hectares of vineyards currently owned, all the plots were patiently chosen and purchased in the best areas of Champagne, among the Grands and Premiers Crus of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne. The roots of Louis Roederer's Men lie in the winemaking tradition and this is what makes us unique. Each winemaker knows his land perfectly and even "his" vine stocks, which he takes care of, year after year. This creates a unique intimacy between the vine and those who dedicate their existence to it.
