Régnard

The Maison Régnard is one of the most historic realities in Burgundy. Founded by Zephir Regnard in 1860, in 1984 it was acquired by the De Ladoucette family, which has preserved its historical identity and improved its expressiveness and production quality, also making significant structural improvements to the cellar and innovation of the most modern equipment. The Maison is historically linked to the production of Chablis, a type of white wine for which it enjoys international fame. The peculiarity of Chablis, the home of Chardonnay, is the presence of calcareous marls rich in fossils dating back to the Kimmeridgian period. This characteristic gives its wines typical mineral and sapid notes. Seven of the Régnard plots are classified as Grand Cru. But great attention must also be paid to the territories of Mâconnais, where in the surroundings of Beaune, the company cultivates several hectares in Pommard and Pouilly Fuissé, where the historic Clos du Pavillon is located. In the vineyard, the company has always expressed great attention and respect for the care of plants and the environment. In the cellar, cutting-edge technologies combined with the ancient tradition of Burgundy allow excellent quality productions. By vinifying even the best crus separately to enhance the authenticity of the territories, Régnard offers a range of wines rich in complexity, typicality and longevity, without ever lacking extraordinary elegance.
