Color: Light pink with ruby ​​nuances.
Smell: The nose is elegant and intense with notes of rose, pomegranate, bergamot and white pepper varietal spice;

From early harvesting of Syrah grapes from the Pozzo Vecchio vineyard only, briefly macerated with the skins and immediately pressed to preserve freshness and varietal typicality.

Tenimenti d'Alessandro

The history of Tenimenti d’Alessandro is closely linked to that of Cortona and its rebirth as a place of excellent wine production. Located in Manzano, in the municipality of Cortona (Arezzo), in south-eastern Tuscany, the property - which today covers about 30 hectares of vineyards, in Certified Organic management since 2016 - was purchased in 1967 by the Alessandro family. Since the end of the 1980s, a phase of intense experimentation has begun here, aimed, above all, at identifying those vines capable of giving the best quality results. The extraordinary vocation of this territory for Syrah immediately emerges. The great Rhône vine, adapting well to warm, bright and dry environments and sedimentary deposits of Pliocene origin - clays, sands, silts - has found here a way to express itself with its own strong identity. All this materialized in 1992 with the first vintage of "Bosco", a pure Syrah, which in a short time became the company's symbolic wine and one of the most popular in Italy and in the world. The potential for adaptation and originality of another variety of the Rhône, this time, a white berried grape, was soon realized: Viognier which, since 1990, has occupied an increasingly important place in the company's vineyards. From 2013, a new course: the Calabresi family, already a partner of the Alessandro brothers since 2007, takes over the leadership of the company. With the advent of the new ownership, it is Filippo Calabresi who is totally involved in the production, making use of the apprenticeship on Syrah, which took place in close contact with many vignerons in France, California and Oregon, after studying at the International Wine Center of New York. Filippo realizes his idea of ​​Syrah and Viognier since the countryside, where he works organically with care, excluding synthetic products and aiming for the well-being and balance of the plant. The total absence of compromises and the craftsmanship also concern the cellar. Here the commitment is aimed at enhancing the local identity of the vines, without ever forgetting drinkability.
