Color: Garnet red.
Smell: The nose is of great elegance, rich and very complex, with notes of dried roses, small ripe red fruits, licorice, spices and truffles.
Taste: On the palate it is of great texture, elegant and intense, full-bodied with strong but balanced tannins. Fresh and very long persistence. It portends a long life.
Food pairing: Perfect for important red meat dishes and medium and long-aged cheeses, game dishes, mushrooms and truffles.

Production area: Historic vineyards of the entire Barolo area, in the Rocche di Castiglione, in the Castiglione Falletto area (CN).
Exposure: South-east.
Age of plants: Vineyards planted in the years 1940, 1950, 1968.
Density per hectare: 4600 plants.
Breeding system: Guyot.
Vinification: Fermentation lasts about 4 weeks in steel tanks in contact with the skins.
This time includes pre and post fermentation maceration with the use of the ancient submerged hat method. Malolactic fermentation in wood.
Aging: In oak barrels for about 30 months.
