Barolo DOCG Castiglione 2016 - Vietti

Color: Ruby red with garnet reflections.
Smell: Clear and intense bouquet, with hints of dark cherry and plum, which evolve into spices, licorice and anise, tea leaves and rose petals.
Taste: The taste is full-bodied, fine, balanced, with soft and elegant tannins, with a long and persistent finish.
Food pairing: Ideal in combination with important red meat dishes and medium and long-aged cheeses.

Production areas: Very important vineyards between the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto, Monforte, Barolo, Novello and La Morra (Barolo).
Soil: Calcareous-clayey soils.
Age of plants: From 7 to 40 years.
Density per hectare: 4800 plants.
Breeding system: Guyot.
Vinification: All the individual crus are vinified and aged separately and in different ways in order to individually enhance the typical characteristics of "terroir".
Aging: After 24-30 months of aging in barriques and large casks, they are assembled before bottling.
